Prim Sawyer, LICSW
Prim is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a Master’s degree from Boston College School of Social Work.
Prim has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She began her career working at the OCD Institute at McLean Hospital where she received rigorous training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention. She subsequently worked at McLean’s Adolescent Transitional Care Unit and the Adolescent Acute Residential Treatment Program where she provided individual, family, and group therapy in addition to case management. Prim became intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and helped to create a DBT program at the ART.
Prim draws from a strengths based, solution focused approach. She brings warmth, compassion, flexibility and humor to her work and is deeply committed to providing effective treatment that results in positive changes. In her free time, Prim enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling, and playing with her dogs.
